Marie Cadieux, Marine Conservation Coordinator SNAP Quebec

Marie holds a bachelor's degree in environmental geography from Université de Montréal and a master's degree in environmental management from Université de Sherbrooke. Throughout her studies, this geographer has taken a particular interest in issues relating to nature-human relationships.

Fascinated by marine environments, she enthusiastically joined the SNAP Quebec team in November 2020 to promote the development of marine protected areas in Quebec.

Pier-Olivier Boudreault, Director of Conservation SNAP Quebec

Pier-Olivier Boudreault is a professional biologist, working as the director of conservation for the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society – Quebec section. His interest in conservation, protected areas and species at risk comes from his work experience at the Parks Canada Agency and non-governmental organisations in Canada and Latin America. He works with governments, indigenous communities, citizen groups, industry and other environmental organizations to achieve CPAWS’ vision to protect 50% of our wild spaces and create new protected areas. He is regularly invited as a conservation expert to participate to conferences, workshops and webinars in Quebec, Canada and internationally.
